Launching before the data exists
GTA VI isn’t out, so most of the data a fan hub runs on doesn’t exist yet. The plan is to launch anyway, in what I call knowledge mode: content and the full site structure go live first, and the data-driven tools fill in once real game data exists.
Pages that depend on that data are polished, honest placeholders. No fake stats dressed up as leaks.
Zero-config content
Guides and news are data-driven, with a fallback. If Supabase isn’t configured, content reads from a seed bundled with the app, so npm run dev works on a fresh clone with no .env file at all. Once Supabase is connected, the same pages read from the database.
Onboarding became trivial, and the site doesn’t have to wait for the CMS to be fully wired.
